    Jinan Preschool Teachers College and INTI College Sabah Partner to Launch Early Childhood Education Program in Malaysia

    On 18 June 2025, INTI College Sabah, incollaboration with Jinan Preschool Teachers College from China and AsiaInternational Higher Education Management Co., Ltd. (AIHE), officially signed astrategic agreement to establish a Malaysian teaching centre for EarlyChildhood Education and Infant Care Services. Coordinated by the Belt and RoadHigher Education Association of Sabah, this initiative aims to introduceChina's vocational teacher education standards into the ASEAN region, marking asignificant step toward internationalization of early childhood education.   The collaboration involves the jointdevelopment of a curriculum incorporating 12 core courses from Jinan PreschoolTeachers College, enhanced by a specialized unit on “Multicultural Education.”A key feature of the partnership is the annual exchange of faculty members,with Jinan dispatching experienced lecturers to INTI Sabah to lead on-siteteaching. The program also includes the construction of a fully equipped infantcare training laboratory on the INTI campus to support hands-on learning.Student recruitment will target on Malaysia and neighbouring ASEAN countries,with internship placements coordinated through a network of more than 100Chinese-language kindergartens.   Li Haiping, Party Secretary of JinanPreschool Teachers College, emphasized that the program is designed to alignwith China’s “Double High Plan” while addressing the specific needs of Sabah. Thegoal is to   cultivate early childhoodprofessionals who are proficient in Chinese, skilled in practical teaching, andculturally adaptable. The Belt and Road Higher Education Association of Sabah alsopledged support its support by promoting policy alignment with Malaysia’sMinistry of Education, coordinating internship placements through the MalaysianEarly Childhood Education Association, and establishing a dedicated fund todevelop localized teaching materials.   This strategic partnership unites thestrengths of all three institutions: Jinan Preschool Teachers College, aleading authority in early childhood education in China; INTI College Sabah, akey vocational institution under AIHE; and the Belt and Road Higher EducationAssociation, a driving force in cross-border educational cooperation. Together,they aim to position Sabah as a central hub for international early childhoodeducation in the ASEAN region.

    On 10 July 2025, INTI College Sabah andthe SME Association of Sabah once again renewed their partnership through aMemorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony. This renewal marks acontinuation of the shared vision and strong collaboration that have definedtheir relationship since the last renewal in July 2023. The ceremony was graced by the presenceof distinguished partners, Dr. Deledda Tan, President of the SME Association ofSabah; Mr. Lie Chun Vui, Deputy President; Ir. Edwin Fong Kim Wai, VicePresident; Mr. Sunny Chai Nyit Ngen, Director of Partnership Development cumCouncil Member. The ceremony was supported by Professor Dr. Vincent Pang,Chairman of the Board of Governors, INTI College Sabah, and Datuk Chong HonLen, a member of the Board of Governors. Also in attendance wererepresentatives from INTI College Sabah and Asia International Higher EducationCo. Ltd. (AIHE), namely Ms. Roselyn Chua, Chief Executive of INTI CollegeSabah, Dr. Athanasia Nointin, Academic Dean cum Global Partnership Liaison ofINTI College Sabah, and Mr. Dong Yi Hui, Chief Operating Officer of AIHE. In her opening remarks, Roselyn Chua,Chief Executive of INTI College Sabah, highlighted that “SME Association ofSabah is not only a vital pillar of the local economy but also an inspiringcommunity of entrepreneurs and innovators. Dr. Deledda Tan, President of the SMEAssociation of Sabah, expressed her appreciation for the long-standingrelationship between the SME Association of Sabah and INTI College Sabah.     On Friday, May 23, 2025, the 30th INTIMAand the Performing Arts Club hosted a vibrant Kaamatan Festival celebration,bringing together members, staff, and students for a day of cultural immersionand joy at INTI College Sabah. Highlights of the event included: Sumazau Dance – Participants gracefullyperformed the Sumazau, a traditional Kadazan-Dusun dance symbolizing the flightof eagles. Accompanied by the rhythmic beats of hanging gongs, the danceshowcased the elegance and unity of the community. Magunatip Dance – The Magunatip, abamboo dance of the Murut people, was performed with precision and skill.Dancers deftly maneuvered between clapping bamboo poles, celebrating the spiritof harmony and teamwork. Traditional Costume Showcase – Astunning display of traditional attire from various indigenous groupshighlighted the rich cultural heritage of Sabah, offering a visual feast ofcolors and craftsmanship.     Kota Kinabalu, Sabah – On 30 April 2025,INTI College Sabah hosted a meaningful Hari Raya lunch celebration withrepresentatives from the Persatuan Kebajikan Wanita dan Ibu-Ibu Tunggal NegeriSabah, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement and socialresponsibility. The event served as a platform tostrengthen ties with local charitable organizations that provide essentialsupport to women and single mothers in the region. In the spirit of giving,INTI College Sabah donated food and convenience items, generously contributedby staff and students as an expression of their shared sense of care andcommunity during the festive season. Among the guests were Puan Muliana BintiSyamsir, Chairperson of the association, and Puan Fatima@Rosni Binti Kamarudin,the association’s Secretary.     Today, under thecoordination and promotion of the Sabah Belt and Road HigherEducation Association, thesigning and unveiling ceremony of the Malaysia Institute of AgriculturalEngineering and Technology, jointly established by INTI College Sabah, DongyingVocational Institute, and Beijing Haiguotou Group Kevin Shandong Branch wasgrandly held at INTI College Sabah, Malaysia. The Deputy Chairman of the InvestSabah Berhad, Mr. George Wong,the Secretary-General of theSabah Belt and Road Higher Education Association, and other distinguished guests attended theevent, witnessing an important milestone in China-Malaysia agriculturaltechnology education cooperation. Three-Party Collaboration:Building aNew Platform for Industry-Education Integration Thiscollaboration, guided by the mission of ‘Serving the 'Beltand Road', EmpoweringModern Agriculture’ integrates educational, industrial, and policy resourcesfrom both China and Malaysia to establish a leading hub for the development of internationalagricultural technology talent. According to the agreement, the three partieswill deepen cooperation in the following areas. 1、Two-Way Training Development:DongyingVocational Institute will provide pre-employment skills training for employeesin Malaysia’s modern agricultural technology sector who are sent to INTICollege Sabah. Additionally, customized “Chinese + Modern AgriculturalTechnology” courses will be offered to local Malaysian employees to support thelocalization of technical applications. 2、EducationalConnectivity and Integration: Using the Malaysia Institute of AgriculturalEngineering and Technology as a platform, Dongying Vocational Institute andINTI College Sabah will jointly promote international academic programmes,organize annual faculty and student exchange visits, and conduct collaborativeresearch. 3、Industry-EducationCollaborative Innovation: Dongying Vocational Institute, in partnership withINTI College Sabah, will focus on the “Five-Gold Engineering ”approach invocational education (Gold Major, Gold Courses, Gold Textbooks, Gold Faculty,and Gold Training Bases). They will jointly establish a “dual-entity” industryacademy to cultivate specialized technical talent in the field of agriculturalinfrastructure.     On10 March 2025, a delegation of 15 representatives from China’s internationaleducation sector arrived at INTI College Sabah, facilitated by the proactivecoordination of the Sabah One Belt One RoadHigher Education Association. The delegation embarked on a four-day visit and exchangeprogram to explore the UK 0.5+3 Advanced Foundation Programme).It included representatives from ten influential enterprises and institutionsin the education sector, such as Hebei Guokong Talent, Shandong WanhaoEducation, Shaanxi Guishi, and Beijin Shouguan. Their visit aimed to gain anin-depth understanding of INTI College Sabah’s unique educational philosophy,innovative teaching models, and extensive potential for internationaleducational collaboration.  On the morning of theirarrival, INTI College Sabah held a welcoming ceremony for the delegation. The collegeleader warmly welcomed the delegates, and during the ceremony, a detailedhistory of the institution’s history, the establishment of its specializeddisciplines, and its remarkable achievements in its international education - particularlythe UK Hertfordshire University joint degree programme under 0.5+3 AdvancedFoundation Programme, was introduced to them. The representatives present atthe ceremony included Datuk Thomas Logijin, Permanent Secretary of the Ministryof Industrial Development, Malaysia; Jaccie Koh, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, Invest Sabah, Malaysia, and Datuk John Lo Thau Fah, Permanent Advisor tothe Sabah Economic Council. After the ceremony, the delegation members,accompanied by college staff and association representatives, toured the campusincluding the teaching facilities, well-equipped laboratories, library with a richcollection of books, and the student activity center. Inthe subsequent discussion session, both parties engaged in in-depth discussionson key topics such as international education collaboration projects,innovative talent development models, and diverse academic exchanges. Each ofthe delegates shared their valuable experiences and extensive resourcesaccumulated in the domestic education market, expressing a strong desire toestablish deep collaborations with INTI College Sabah. The college introducedpotential collaborative projects and curriculum frameworks, aiming to advancethe process of education internationalization through cooperation with Chineseenterprises and institutions. With the support of the Sabah One Belt One Road Higher Education Association, the goal is to create broaderdevelopment opportunities for students. Thisvisit and exchange activity, driven by the proactive efforts of the Sabah One Belt One Road Higher Education Association successfully built a strongcommunication bridge between INITI College Sabah and China’s education sector.It also laid a solid foundation for deeper future collaboration in the field ofinternational education. Both parties expressed their commitment to further strengtheningconnections and cooperation, jointly exploring innovative education models, anddedicating efforts to cultivating high-quality talents with a globalperspective, contributing to the advancement of regional education.     Performing Arts Club Explores Culture and Nature in Kuala Penyu

    KOTA KINABALU, 7 February 2025 – The Performing Arts Club successfully organized a study trip to Kuala Penyu, offering students an enriching cultural and educational experience. Led by organizing chairpersons Diana Nicole and Kevin Kishan, the trip aimed to explore the unique culture of Kuala Penyu and deepen students' understanding of the rumbia tree, an important part of the local heritage. The journey began at 8:30 AM from Kota Kinabalu, with participants arriving at Pekan Kuala Penyu around 10:30 AM. They enjoyed stunning views from Sitompok Bridge before having lunch and sightseeing at the breathtaking Sawangan Beach. A key highlight of the trip was the visit to the Rumbia Information Centre in Kampung Kasugira, where students learned about the significance of the rumbia tree and explored the rumbia plantation walk. A group photo marked the memorable experience. Before heading home, the group made a quick stop at Batu Luang and Tempurung Beach Resort to witness a spectacular sunset. At 6:30 PM, they departed for Kota Kinabalu, concluding a meaningful and enjoyable trip. This study trip provided valuable insights into Kuala Penyu’s culture and natural beauty, leaving participants with unforgettable memories and newfound knowledge.

    INTI College Sabah Recognizes Future-Ready Graduates at 2024 Ceremony

    INTI College Sabah recently marked theachievements of nine outstanding graduates at its 2024 Graduation Ceremony,held on 17 November at Connexion @Nexus, Bangsar. Roselyn Chua, Chief Executive of INTICollege Sabah, reflected on the significance of the occasion. “Our graduatesare proof of what resilience, determination, and excellence can achieve. Thesequalities are at the heart of what INTI stands for,” she said. “This isn’t justabout marking success,” Roselyn added. “It’s about acknowledging our graduates’dedication and readiness to contribute meaningfully to their chosen fields.” The ceremony highlighted theaccomplishments of students from the BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance and BA(Hons) Business Administration programmes, both offered in partnership with theUniversity of Hertfordshire, UK. Guided by Dg. Siti Aisyah, Head of Programmefor the School of Business (SOBIZ), these 3+0 programmes emphasise practicalskills and real-world applications, equipping students with the tools to excelin their careers. Among the graduates, Fion Pan Shin Yueearned First-Class Honours in Accounting and Finance, an achievement recognisedas a reflection of INTI’s high academic standards. Another highlight was BusinessAdministration graduate Azmeer Zaini bin Annuar Zaini, who made history as theprogramme’s first-ever valedictorian. In a heartfelt speech, Azmeer shared,“Our time here wasn’t just about exams and assignments—it was about growth,collaboration, and building relationships that will guide us in the future.”His words were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience. The event celebrated the graduates’ abilityto overcome challenges, highlighting the transformative impact of education. Byfocusing on employability and ensuring programmes meet industry demands, INTICollege Sabah continues to empower students to thrive in a rapidly changingworld. This commitment is reflected in 90% of INTI graduates securing jobs withtop companies within six months of their studies.
